About Us
A+S Consult GmbH is an international consulting and engineering company delivering donor-funded transport infrastructure and mobility projects worldwide. We support clients with technical planning, implementation management, and capacity building to strengthen institutions and ensure sustainable operation and maintenance of complex assets.
Objective:
The project aims to develop a modern, safe, and sustainable Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network in Quetta, Pakistan, to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance urban mobility. Funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), this assignment involves conducting a detailed feasibility study, preparing comprehensive engineering designs, and providing procurement support for the BRT system.
Position: Senior Interface Expert
As the Senior Interface Expert, you will spearhead the integration and coordination of complex multidisciplinary systems across the BRT infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity between civil, structural, architectural, and electro-mechanical (E&M) components. You will develop comprehensive interface design requirements, manage cross-disciplinary workflows, and ensure that all subsystems—from ITS and AFC to HVAC and power supply—operate cohesively within the overall BRT network.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and manage the complete interface design requirements and documentation for all project components, serving as the primary basis for the execution of different works and contracts.
· Define and specify the boundaries of multiple scope works and contractors, clearly outlining the broader scope of work and integration points for each package.
· Coordinate integration requirements for elevated, at-grade, and underground stations with various systems, including fiber optics, electrical substations, solar PV, HVAC, E&M, firefighting, SCADA, and emergency power.
· Manage interface requirements for critical subsystems, including the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system, Platform Screen Doors (PSD), lifts, escalators, signage, advertising, and the Command and Control / Data Centers.
· Review and resolve multidisciplinary clashes and spatial conflicts utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) Level-3 to examine collision detection and engineering analysis.
· Prepare the Interface Design Requirement document as a separate, comprehensive report detailing technical and functional integration points to prevent scope gaps between contractors.
Candidate Requirements
· Education: University degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, or a closely related field).
· Professional Experience: Extensive professional experience in interface management, systems integration, and multidisciplinary coordination for large-scale public transport, mass transit, or complex infrastructure projects.
· Technical Skills: Deep understanding of multidisciplinary engineering systems (E&M, ITS, AFC, civil, structural, architectural) and proficiency in BIM (Level-3) workflows for clash detection and spatial coordination.
· Project Experience: Demonstrated experience in preparing Interface Design Requirement documents, defining contract boundaries, and managing integration between multiple contractors and complex subsystems.
· Languages: Excellent command of English (spoken and written) for technical reporting, design documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
