Egypt-based Gender Experts for a Local Area Development Plan (LADP) study

North South Consultants Exchange (NSCE) is looking for mid-level Gender Experts for a Local Area Development Plan (LADP) study.

Task description:

• Support the key experts in a transversal gender approach;

• Identify the internal commitments of stakeholders in favour of gender equality: policy or strategy documents, professional equality approach for staff, etc.;

• Take into account the security dimension in the development of public spaces;

• Integrate women into the design of public spaces; 

Needed qualifications and skills:

• University degree (Bachelor) in social sciences with specialisation in gender issues

• Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is mandatory

Needed general & specific professional experience:

• 5 years of professional experience in:

• Gender equality and gender-sensitive public and local policies;

• Organization and operational skills of dedicated public services (Ministry, state agencies, etc.) and cross-cutting integration of gender issues into services, including decentralized and/or decentralized services, and state agencies relevant to the project;

• Identifying specific projects or measures for girls and women;
