Qualification Requirements

The Road Engineer shall possess a university degree in Highway Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline and have at least 10 years of professional experience in highway engineering, road maintenance, road asset management, and implementation of road maintenance programmes. Experience in road maintenance planning, pavement management, road rehabilitation, and IFI-financed transport projects is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

The Road Engineer shall provide technical input on road maintenance practices, assess existing maintenance systems and operational procedures, support the development of improved contractual arrangements, contribute to PBMC implementation strategies, identify candidate road sections for pilot contracts, and support the preparation of technical standards, guidelines, and maintenance methodologies.
