Responsibility for studies, design and tender documents for different investment measures in the field of urban water management
Liaison and communication with the Client and the Donor Agencies
Management of technical deliverables and reporting
Determine and define project scope and objectives
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
Track project costs to meet budget
Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Your profile
University degree (M.Sc.) in civil engineer, mechanical engineer, process or environmental engineer or other suitable qualification
Preferably 15 years of professional experience in international consulting / engineering in the field of urban water management
Several years of experience in project management, project control (backstopping) and in dealing with international donor organizations and development banks
Confirmed successful acquisition of consulting projects
Very good leadership, team development and communication skills
Visionary thinking skills and the ability to support and shape a developing department and team
Be actively involved in professional activities, societies and organizations.
Willingness to travel extensively
Very good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written and preferably in an additional business language (French, Spanish, etc.)
Proficient with Project Management software preferred
Strong interpersonal and technical writing skills.
Preferably additional qualifications in project management (PMI or similar)
