DevelopmentAid database updates and new unique features in 2023

As the global leader in providing information services for organizations and individuals working in the field of sustainable development, we, at DevelopmentAid, know that our members need to be ahead of the competition in securing contracts and establishing partnerships. That is why we have spent this year working very hard to implement a lot of new features, tools, and other improvements.

In 2023, our team of developers generated ideas, programmed, tested, and launched a set of features that make the DevelopmentAid database (the biggest in the world) an even more handy and easy instrument for organizations and individuals working in the aid sector.

Let’s see what we have done during the last 12 months.

Setting the winning Pricing strategy for a project proposal

In response to what was perhaps our most persistent request, we now offer our customers the ability to craft a winning pricing strategy when bidding on grants and tenders.

For years now, DevelopmentAid members have had access to in-depth information about competing groups or consortia bidding on tenders or grants. However, one key factor has remained unclear – where and how to obtain information on financial proposals in relation to the project budget.

Now, using our platform, our members engaged in a competition for a grant or tender have the ability to perform comprehensive financial research on previous winning bids from potential competing companies (including detailed pricing information and discounts) and thus develop an effective pricing strategy for submitting a financial proposal.

To access this information, simply click on an organization’s profile or on an awarded contract and click on the tab “Pricing strategy.”

Exporting to Excel the tenders, grants and organizations shortlists

Another set of features that we have implemented this year is our new range of one-click integrations with Microsoft Excel and related programs (such as Google Sheets). DevelopmentAid members can now export information on tenders and grants directly into the Excel format as well as export information on donors and other organizations.

Quite literally, all of the technical data, numbers, and other relevant data from any tender, grant, procurement notice, or donor organization can be instantly converted to Excel format with one click.

Our platform now contains detailed (and searchable!) information on more than 20,000 donors including bilateral and multilateral banks, charities and foundations, governments, NGOs, and other funding agencies, all of which can now be accessed in the world’s most popular spreadsheet format.

Brand new Data analyst support – the Data Management Center

This year also saw greater data analyst support for our members. We now have a full-time Data Management Center with staffers ready to assist members with technical help on all of the information and features on our platform, questions about tenders or grants, and even general assistance on how to get the most benefit out of your membership on our platform. No question or concern is too big (or too small!) of an issue for the dedicated team at the DevelopmentAid Data Management Center.

Access to exclusive industry-specific webinars

We are also proud to say that we have implemented some small, but important nowadays features – access to the latest and exclusive information – webinars led by industry leaders and top professionals from the development sector. Now, members can get unlimited access to video recordings of our hosted webinars. These virtual workshops and seminars conducted by industry leaders are some of the most popular offerings on our platform, but some customers simply were unable to attend at the time that they were live-streamed. Now, all participants will automatically get a link to a permanently hosted copy of those webinars that can be accessed or downloaded at any time.

Strategic partnerships that offer discounts

Lastly, we would be remiss if we did not mention that we have expanded our strategic partnership program for NGOs, organizations, government agencies, and other entities working in the field of sustainable development. Not only do we offer trust-based, mutually beneficial relationships for our partners but also a wide range of pricing and other discounts as well. DevelopmentAid partners can now get discounts of 10% or more with a wide range of organizations, including local and regional Chambers of Commerce, business associations, tech companies, media organizations, and even state-level Ministries of Finance. As you can see, 2023 has been a very busy year for the hardworking teams here at DevelopmentAid, and we are proud of the improvements we have implemented to make using our platform easier, more productive, and more powerful for all of our valued members. But don’t think that we’re stopping here because we have a lot more goodies and improvements coming next year!
