From its origins in 1986, the MedHealth Group has grown to be Australia’s largest provider of independent medical advisory services. Based in Melbourne, Victoria, the organisation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the US – based ExamWorks Group.
MedHealth owns and operates five independent medical advisory businesses in Australia. These are:

Each business has its own management and operating team and provides services to the private insurance markets, legal markets, workers compensation, third-party administrators, self-insured corporations as well as federal and state government agencies.

All up we have around 1,000 contracted staff, offices in every state capital and 31 regional centres. In addition to on-the-ground offices we also operate a state-of-the-art telephone and videoconferencing consulting capability.

Our portfolio of services include Medical Advisory Services, Independent Medical Examinations (IME) of claimants and a variety of medical assessments covering over 33 medical specialties. Our medical expertise spans all major medical specialties and includes comprehensive jurisdictional knowledge on medico-legal and insurance matters. All medical specialists operate as independent consultants. They are accredited and supported by an extensive annual quality review.

The MedHealth Group operates within a strict quality assurance framework and is ISO Certified.
