Hobbs, Niles & Co, was launched on December 2, 2004 and provides assurance and tax services to both offshore and local clients.  We believe in providing a high level of service, while taking a personal interest in our clients’ needs and concerns.  We are committed to maintaining the highest level of quality, ethics, integrity and honesty in the performance of our duties.

Our people
 

The firm has two experienced partners, Mr. Anthony Hobbs and Mrs. Sylvia Browne-Niles. Prior to launching Hobbs, Niles & Co, Anthony spent 17 years working very closely with Mr. Robert Bourque in his Deloitte & Touche and Robert J. Bourque & Co. practices servicing offshore and local clients.  Anthony has accumulated extensive and varied experiences ranging from the audit of local and international accounting structures to complex international tax.  With this knowledge gained, he has effectively advised clients on the impact of international tax structures from a Barbados regulatory standpoint.

Sylvia spent 5 years working at Deloitte & Touche - Barbados after transferring from the Deloitte & Touche - Ottawa practice.  She was a Senior Manager of the Audit & Advisory Division where her focus was on audits, tax and international services to both local and offshore companies.  Her extensive portfolio included multi-national organisations which necessitated the completion of several overseas assignments. 

The expansion of our practice necessitated the addition of seven (7) full time and two (2) part time accountants to our audit firm, bringing our total technical and support staff to a compliment of eleven (11).
