UNBR is headquartered in Bucharest and is the legal successor of the Union of Lawyers in Romania - UAR, which ceased to exist on June 26, 2004, with the entry into force of Law no. 255/2004 regarding the modification and completion of the Law no. 51/1995 for the organization and pursuit of the profession of lawyer.
