About
Since 1983, several women women peasants, workers and professionals from different municipalities of the country, such as: San Salvador, Olocuilta and Candelaria, met voluntarily to carry out activities to promote the human rights of women, while enhancing their economic and social development. But it was on July 13, 1985, when following the inauguration of the first workshop house, the women's group was formally called Salvadoran Women for Peace, but it was until 2 September 1993 that it was constituted as the Association Organization of Salvadoran Women for Peace (Ormusa). Its statutes were published in the Official Journal on 24 June 1994.
To date, this initiative has launched dozens of projects directly and indirectly benefiting thousands of women in different places in El Salvador.
