World Vision Romania

The World Vision Foundation is a global non-governmental organization present in nearly 100 countries worldwide, dedicated to child welfare. We believe that every child, regardless of the social or cultural context from which they come, has the right to equal opportunities to develop in a safe and healthy environment. We are constantly present in the vulnerable communities where we operate, in order to identify the current needs of the most vulnerable children. These needs are subsequently addressed in the long-term programs we run, with an emphasis on education, child protection and participation, rural economic development and health. We have been active in Romania for over 30 years, being the largest organization in the country present in the rural environment. Over 24,000 children from the counties of Iași, Vaslui, Ialomița, Vâlcea, Dolj and Cluj are currently supported through our programs.
