SCD Society for Community Development (Nigeria)

Society for Community Development (SCD) is a National non-governmental organisation founded in 1995 and currently working in over 100 communities in Nigeria especially the North West, North East, North Central and South-South Nigeria with support from development partners. SCD’s strategic approach towards community development including poverty eradication is based on a long term experience in working with and learning from vulnerable and excluded people in Nigeria. Our mission is to promote sustainable development and empower the poor especially women and children in Nigeria through advocacy, capacity building and rights based approach with a vision of rural communities without poverty.
