About

CECI has been working in Burkina Faso since March 1985, where we have focused our activities in five regions through outreach in ten provinces to build the capacities of rural communities in sustainable economic development, food security and gender equality. Our major areas of work include the shea and rice industries, where significant progress has been made on preserving the environment through the promotion of good practices and the acquisition of new and more energy-efficient technologies.

In recognition of our contribution to the country’s development process of the country, in 2005, CECI-Burkina Faso was made a "Knight of the Burkinabe Order of Merit with Agagafe Amitié-Coopération” by the Head of State.
