Lalmba Association

Since its beginnings more than 50 years ago, Lalmba Association has chosen to work in the most remote and impoverished communities in East Africa.  We establish modern medical care and public health programs in communities that have none, and we ensure that vulnerable children have access to food and school.  We develop microfinance programs to introduce new businesses that stimulate the local economy.

Right now we operate projects in western Kenya along the shores of Lake Victoria, and in the rainforest highlands of southwest Ethiopia.  Volunteers with medical or management experience train the local staff to run the projects themselves.
