About
The FNCUMA (National Federation of Cooperatives for the Use of Agricultural Equipment) was created in 1945 (association under the law of 1901)
The FNCUMA is the head of the network of Cooperatives for the Use of Agricultural Equipment (CUMA). It relies on a network of 12,260 cooperatives, 65 local, departmental or interdepartmental federations grouped together within 10 regional federations.
It performs multiple functions and carries out field actions and studies (mechanisation, installation, employment and improvement of working conditions, preservation of the environment, management of rural areas, etc.) thus contributing to the improvement of the operation of Cuma and local dynamics.
It brings its expertise in many areas (agricultural equipment, environment, energy, management of rural areas, employment, etc.) to Ministries and works jointly with professional agricultural organisations. The FNCUMA has forged numerous partnerships with research organizations and technical institutes (Irstea, Ademe, Arvalis, etc.).
