FAIDO - Focus Aid and Development Organization

The Focus Aid and Development Organization {FAIDO|} is a non-political, non-profit, non-partisan, relief and development organization, which was established in Hargeisa in 2009 by an assembly of Youth Intellectuals from hall Somaliland, touched by the plight of many people in the regions and the Somaliland at large. The organization was formed as a CBO working mainly in Somaliland.

The main purpose of the organization is to support and empower the Somaliland vulnerable communities to develop strategies and skills which enable them to more effectively manage their own lives through the provision, protection and promotion of Health Animals, quality health care in fishery and development, better education, sustainable livelihoods, Institutional Capacity Building and Good-Governance. Since its inception FAIDO has built its reputation at grassroots through its participatory approach in its project. Currently, FAIDO’s operational focus is on Maroodijeex, Togdheer, Awdal, and all Other Regions of Somaliland, organization has plans to start operations in Horn Africa in the future.
