About

The AGPM, the trade union organization of Maiz'Europ
Created in 1934, the General Association of Maize Producers is the political heart of the Maiz'Europ 'group.

Its main mission is the defense of producers and corn in all its components (grain, fodder, seeds, sweet) with French and European authorities. Through its action, the AGPM works on a daily basis so that corn growers can make a good living from their profession.

The strategic orientations of the AGPM are decided by a board of directors of 65 farmers, corn producers, elected in their departments. These orientations are based on 4 major themes:

Agricultural policies
International negotiations, Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), risk management tools. On all of these subjects, the AGPM ensures that the decisions taken at European, French and even regional levels allow producers to respond to the current economic challenge. Concretely, the AGPM defends a CAP supporting the income of corn growers, taxation adapted to variations in income, or even crop insurance that is relevant and accessible to as many people as possible.

Corn outlets
Animal feed, food uses, energy, plant chemistry, biomaterials, export promotion. The development of outlets for French corn is a major issue for producers. This is why the AGPM is favorable to the development of all outlets and acts to promote the political conditions for their proper implementation. While traditional outlets must be consolidated, the emphasis has been placed in recent years on the emergence of new outlets (ethanol, anaerobic digestion, plant chemistry).
