About

Dak Organization for Ezidi Women Development is founded and led by an Ezidi women determined to rebuild the community after the ISIS attacks on Sinjar in 2014. "Dak," meaning "Mother," symbolizes the role of a source of protection, healing, empowerment, and justice. Dak is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to restoring dignity, rights, and opportunities for minority women across Iraq.

In Dak, we amplify women's voices, nurture their leadership, and work towards a future where women and girls can heal, thrive, and lead.
