About
Amici della Terra Italia Onlus, is an environmental association recognized by the Ministry of the Environment, active in Italy since 1978 with offices and addresses throughout the country . The Friends of the Earth promote policies and behaviors aimed at protecting the environment and sustainable development, through opinion campaigns, projects, environmental information and education, local initiatives. A substantial study and research activity provides a solid scientific basis for their activities and positions. The association is distinguished by a rational approach to the problems it faces, not dogmatic, free from ideological prejudices and particular interests. The association recognizes itself in a democratic, reformist, anti-authoritarian culture. It chooses the institutions as its main interlocutor, seeks dialogue with each political party, does not discriminate against its members on the basis of their belonging to political parties. Together with environmental degradation, it fights poverty, ignorance and social, racial, religious and sexual discrimination. It is aware of the totality of the environmentalist commitment, intervenes in every useful international context and supports dialogue, negotiations, agreements and initiatives of a transnational nature.
