About

The Advocacy Academy is a charitable organization based in London, United Kingdom. The Advocacy Academy's stated mission is to "train young people to engage in collective action to improve their communities and tackle social issues that directly affect them.

For generations young people have been leading the struggle against injustice and inequality. Our voices are needed now more than ever. It’s no secret that mainstream politics doesn’t represent or reflect us, so it’s up to us to change things for ourselves.

The Advocacy Academy is home to the most radical, creative, and powerful youth-led campaigning in the country. Our calendar of programmes range in length from a few days to six months, and cover topics from intersectional feminism (The Sisterhood Academy) to racial equality (The Freedom Fellowship), and almost every issue in between. No matter what social justice programme you’re on, you’ll be trained to make real and lasting change, like the Advocates who came before you - they’ve convinced Lambeth Council to divest from fossil-fuels, secured genuinely affordable homes for local families, sparked a national debate on black representation in the media, convinced KCL to become the first University in the country to collect data on their Latin American students, worked with dozens of schools to adopt the Halo Code, and won a BAFTA for a film on colourism - all before finishing school.
