While working life is constantly changing, the goal of ISF's working life research is constant: to contribute with empirical research of a high standard on topics of social relevance. Our research uses both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Labor market research at ISF is wide-ranging and includes topics such as employment, gender equality and discrimination, diversity in working life, sickness absence and wage differences. In recent years, we have also done more research on issues related to education, welfare and migration from a working life perspective. A large part of the research is done on administrative register data, but we also use survey data and, more recently, field trials.
