VSF Germany is a non-governmental, non-profit making organization, engaged in the field of veterinary relief and development work. Founded as a students’ initiative in 1991 at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover, the head office of VSF Germany is still located at the University of Hanover, Germany.

Since the beginnings the organization has developed very dynamically. Nowadays VSF Germany works in about 15 projects in Republic of Sudan, Republic of South Sudan, Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia. The regional office East Africa based as Kenyan NGO in Nairobi coordinates the implementation of the projects.
