About
L’Institut International d’Ingénierie de l’Eau et de l’Environnement (2iE) is a bilingual teaching and research institution specializing in the fields of water, energy, environment and civil and mining engineering based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
2iE is the only African engineering school whose engineering degree is recognized by the French Commission des Titres de l'Ingénieur (CTI). It is also a Pole of Excellence of the WAEMU, ECOWAS and NEPAD, member of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles (France) and Campus France.
In 2010/2011, 2iE welcomes 1230 students on site and 850 students in distance learning. In total, 35 nationalities are represented among the students. In addition, each year, 2iE trains around 1400 trainees in continuing education.
2iE is also an international technology park hosting a business incubator, a junior enterprise (40,000 euros in turnover), a business incubator, a green park (Nutriset, Sireat, etc.), a 200,000 euro investment fund, etc.
