Established by decree in December 2009 by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) represents all aspects of the UAE Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program.

Through its flagship Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, abundant safe, clean and reliable electricity is being supplied to the UAE grid, supporting the Nation’s social and economic growth, and spearheading decarbonization to tackle climate change.

ENEC is part of ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies with a broad portfolio of major enterprises spanning key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy.
