About

The Kanta-Häme Hospital District (KHSHP) is responsible for organizing special nursing services in the province. The hospital district consists of 11 municipalities in the province, ie Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki, Forssa, Janakkala, Hattula, Hausjärvi, Loppi, Tammela, Jokioinen, Ypäjä and Humppila. In the hospital district, primary health care in the Hämeenlinna region is organized by the City of Hämeenlinna, Janakkala and Hattula, which has outsourced service production to Pihlajalinna Oyj. In the Riihimäki region, primary health care services are organized and provided by the Riihimäki Region Health Center Association of Municipalities (RSTKY) and in the Forssa Region by the Association of Welfare Municipalities, which also provides special medical care services (FSHKY).


KHSHP is part of the special responsibility area of Tampere University Hospital and is involved in preparing the future provincial administration. As representatives of KHSHP, the so-called Seppo Ranta , Director of the Hospital District, and Miia Luukko , Director of Administration, are members of the temporary preparatory body .
