Alasmarya Islamic University

Alasmarya Islamic University “Al-Jāmi’a Alasmarya Al'islamiha” is a public university in the city of Zliten, Libya. 

The university was established as Alasmarya University for Islamic Sciences in 1995 to teach The Holy Qur’an, Sharia and Linguistic Sciences, and History.
Acquired present name and status Alasmarya Islamic University “Al-Jāmi’a Alasmarya Al'islamiha” in 2013 to teach all types of sciences including religious, legitimate, human, social, economics, basic, applied, engineering, medical, and health.
It previously existed in 1506 as Zawiya of Alasmari to teach the Holy Qur’an and Sharia and Linguistic Sciences and went on to become Alasmari Institute between 1935 and 1986.
