Background and vision of the organization:
The RDS-HN begins as a project of SDNP / UNDP (SDN-HON) on August 16, 1994, becoming an NGO through legal status No. 272-98 of December 11, 1998 Association of Sustainable Development Network of Honduras (RDS -HN). The RDS-HN is legally registered with the Secretary of the Interior and Justice in the URSAC, under No. 2003001973.
RDS-HN, known as La Red, was the first email provider in the country and its first users were NGOs. In March 1997, he began to provide Internet services. The Network with its activities links the institutions that work for sustainable human development through physical and / or virtual networks for the exchange of information, using the Internet as one of its tools. The general objective of the RDS-HN is to “strengthen the institutional capacity of public and private entities in the management of sustainable development in Honduras through the promotion, dissemination and exchange of information in favor of social, cultural, political development, economic and environmental of the country ”.
The RDS-HN is part of a worldwide network of networks that have an integral approach to development, it is a coordination space between groups.
