Union of Public Works Contractors (Syndicat Libanais des Entrepreneurs des Travaux Publics)

The Lebanese Contractors Syndicate for Public Works and Buildings was established on June 25, 1965 in Beirut.

Mission :
• Protect the contracting profession, enhance the industry situation &
protect the dignity of Contractor.
• Defend the members interests and act to enhance their potentials
• Sustain the syndicate activities and cooperate with public
administration and business owners, and other association especially
the Order of Engineers.

The purpose of the union is limited to the following matters 

• Protecting the profession of contractors for public works or construction or its annexes, encouraging it, raising its level and working to advance its progress in all technical, economic, commercial, material and social aspects, and preserving the dignity of the contractor.

Taking care of the interests of the union members, defending their rights, and working to improve their professional, material, social and cultural conditions.

• Encouraging and supporting the union movement and cooperating with state departments, union bodies (especially the Engineers Syndicate), business owners, and procedures to improve the level of work and create close ties of cooperation and mutual understanding.

• Establishing sports, social and cooperative projects for union members in accordance with the regulations in force.

Establishing a health insurance fund for members.

The union includes people, companies, and institutions who practice its profession and who meet the conditions specified in the Labor Law and the union’s bylaws.
