FADA-CATEC

CATEC is a technological centre of excellence managed by the Andalusian Foundation for Aerospace development (FADA), aimed to research new technologies for the aerospace industry. Its mission is to contribute to the improvement of the competitiveness of the companies within the sector, through scientific research, technological development and innovation, and meet the R&D&I demand of the companies that comprise the Andalusian aeronautical network and the rest of national and international companies. The Centre carries out activities, both at the individual level and in cooperation with other companies and agents focused on applied research, technological development, foresight and technological intelligence and technology management (protection and industrialization). CATEC’s work focuses on the areas of avionics and unmanned systems, simulation and software, materials and processes and automation and robotics. CATEC has a Board of Trustees such as the Agency IDEA, the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), the University of Seville, the Association of Research and Industrial Cooperation of Andalusia (AICIA), the Association of aeronautical companies, Airbus Military, Alestis and Elimco. Its facilities include 4,500 m2 for laboratories, workshops and offices.
