Verband Der Landwirtschaftskammern Ev - VLK - Association of Chambers of Agriculture

The Association of Chambers of Agriculture (VLK) is a specialist society that sees itself as a link between the German Chambers of Agriculture . is merged. Any Chamber of Agriculture or any other professional institution with the same task can be a member of the VLK. The VLK is a member of the Central Committee of German Agriculture and works closely with the other agricultural associations there. 

The Association of Chambers of Agriculture was first entered in the register of associations in Berlin in 1924. During the 3rd Reich the association was brought into line and re-established in 1949. 

The VLK coordinates and moderates the cooperation of the members and agricultural administrations in federal states without chambers of agriculture via its specialist bodies in committees and working groups.

The VLK is also the link between the federal ministries and the chambers of agriculture, supports communication and professional exchange and gives opinions on draft legislation.

Internationally, the VLK is in regular contact with the European Chambers of Agriculture and the Committee of Professional Agricultural Organizations of the European Union COPA-COGECA .
