National Institute of Nutrition (NIN)

The Institute of Nutrition was established under Decision No. 181/CP dated June 13, 1980 of the Government Council. Decision No. 230/1998/QD-TTg dated 30/11/1998 of the Prime Minister has classified the Institute of Nutrition as one of 6 national institutes of the health sector. The Institute is assigned the task of studying the nutritional needs and meal structure of Vietnamese people, proposing to the State measures to promote health, prevent and treat diseases in accordance with nutritional needs and growing conditions. socio-economic development of the country in each period; analyze the nutritional value of food; food hygiene research, food testing; nutrition treatment and at the same time training nutritionists for the country.
