Europe and Slovakia stand on the threshold of serious changes that will affect the lives of all of us. Climate change, the exhaustion of the economic model, the changing lines of force in the global geopolitical environment, together with new security threats, are pushing the perception of security and prosperity into a new dimension. They require a new level of preparedness and the formation of attitudes not only from our governments, but from the entire public and private sector. A period is coming in which those who can turn the pitfalls of the new age into opportunities will succeed. At ICE, we are convinced that if Slovakia wants to be on the side of the successful in this story, it must be prepared not only at the level of national policies, but also coordinate these policies at the regional level and actively contribute to their formation at the level of the European Union. We believe it is time to awaken the potential, that Central Europe has in itself and transform it into a productive effort for the common good of the people from all corners of Europe. The creation of high-quality public policies must not be separated from the European context, on the contrary, it must be an integral part of the decision-making process, together with a thorough public debate. We therefore provide our skills and capacities to create a forum for discussion and the creation of public policies to meet the demands and pressures of a changed world. In our activities, we focus primarily on topics that have the potential to be decisive in shaping the future of Slovakia and Europe. Our ambition is to connect our own research with the expertise of domestic and foreign experts in individual fields. By involving politicians, experts, academics, media and representatives of the business sector, we promise to create a strong forum for expert discussion. We want to help with a high-quality decision-making process, based on facts, sector analyzes and expert discussion respecting the broader context of relations.
