Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB)

Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Bangladesh is an non-profit membership organization established to ensure access to voluntary, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive reproductive health care services and to support reproductive freedom for all. Like any other professional society, its activity was kept to seminar, symposium and conferences in addition to occasional social gathering. The Society has a network of about 1600 members throughout the country, providing services in both in the Institute and private capacity. Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society has 13 branches in Bangladesh. OGSB educates healthcare professionals, policy makers and develop training CSBA, midwifery in our country. The organization adopts research and advocacy to improve the reproductive health sector. OGSB core competence is planning and executing high quality clinical education for health professionals and developing policy and advocacy activities in support of these efforts. OGSB has developed a Networking with Government of Bangladesh, development partners and Non-Governmental Organization in the field of Reproductive Health/Maternal & Neonatal Health. This networking includes participation in training, workshop, seminar, and symposium and also with various types of consultancy services. OGSB is one of the dedicated professional bodies in the reproductive health sector in Bangladesh and a National forum of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in our country. Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society serves its members by providing advocacy, education and training to those in the family planning and reproductive health care fields. For over 45 years, OGSB members have shared a commitment to providing high-quality, Emergency Obstetric Care, federally funded family planning,- making them a critical module of the nation's public health safety net. OGSB is a multidisciplinary association of professionals who try to develop reproductive health services or education, conduct reproductive health research, or influence reproductive health policy.
