SOS Sahel international (Niger)

Created in Senegal, SOS SAHEL is an international NGO, expert in environment and food security which intervenes with the most deprived populations in the 11 countries of the Sahelian strip, by accompanying them so that they are heard with respect and dignity on the international scene. It promotes the tremendous potential of the Sahel by supporting the initiatives of local actors and investing in sustainable solutions in the Sahel, convinced that this is the best way to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2063 . of the African Union. SOS SAHEL initiates and implements flagship programs to ensure food security and adapt to climate change, such as the “Green Initiative”. It prioritizes and empowers women in particular, who face unique challenges in the region, as they play a central role in agricultural production and development. The association finds its strength in solidarity and collaboration with its network of partners, sharing its expertise based on its presence and its commitment over several generations with the Sahelian populations. Finally, it brings ingenuity and innovation to its mission by deploying modern methods of agriculture that respect the environment and sustainable development.
