The IECD team, based in Ho Chi Minh City, and its local partners are implementing the Support for Small Businesses program. The threshold of 1,000 supported entrepreneurs was crossed in 2017. At the same time, a White Paper was published on street vendors in the city. It presents the actions of civil society in their favor, the recommendations of experts for taking their constraints into account in a more inclusive urban development plan and the solutions proposed by the street vendors themselves.

The year 2017 was also marked by the deployment of vocational training in Vietnam, with:

• The launch in Ho Chi Minh City of a second bakery school with 20 students.
• Renovation of training courses in electricity and automobile maintenance at 2 partner technical training centers as part of the Seeds of Hope programme.
