Instituto Novos Paradigmas (INP)

The Novos Paradigmas Institute-INP- is a non-profit social institution, supported by a wide network of members committed to producing analyses, diagnoses, reflections and studies that contribute to the affirmation of a contemporary democratic agenda.
It is a space for critical thinking and contribution to knowledge and public debate based on dialogue with different social, national and international organizations, in order to contribute to overcoming the main issues that challenge the State and politics at the present time.
The INP promotes initiatives that aim to favor the improvement of democratic practices and public management, the expansion of transparency, the updating of social protection at work, the expansion of the use of digital technologies to strengthen citizenship and increase levels of cohesion social in Brazil.
To this end, it holds seminars, colloquia, conferences, symposiums and workshops with the participation of experts, researchers, civil society leaders, managers and political representatives, in addition to promoting the production of diagnoses, essays, articles and various publications.
The Board of Directors is chaired by the former minister and former governor Tarso Genro and has among its board of advisors for the programmatic formulation with the plural participation of significant leaders on the national and international scene, such as Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Full Professor at the University of Coimbra, Baltasar Garzón, jurist, magistrate, professor and Spanish lawyer, Pilar del Río, president of the José Saramago Foundation, Fernando Haddad, former minister of education and former mayor of São Paulo, among others.
