Neighbourhood Society Service Center (NSSC)

Neighborhood Society Service Center (NSSC), Chimmek Samaj Sewa Sanstha in Nepali, is a non-political, non-profitable and non-governmental organization established in 1991 (2048 B.S.) under Organization Registration Act. NSSC has a humble beginning with its office in Maitidevi Pati, in Kathmandu. It carried out primary & basic service in the field of Non Formal Education & Adult Education classes and conducted Health & Hygiene Awareness Campaigns. It is affiliated with Social Welfare Council. The society was established with an aim to bring socio-economic change leading to qualitative improvement in the livelihood of people living in poverty. NSSC has promoted "Chhimek LaghuBitta Bikas Bank Limited (CLBBL)", (shareholding of 17.91%, NRs. 9.1 million) working in the field of micro finance.
