About

Since our launch in 2013, Kepler’s mission has been to provide a genuine pathway for underserved African youth to exit poverty. We provide a different kind of education – one that combines an in-person foundation program, an online degree through Southern New Hampshire University and on-the-job learning in service of a singular goal: decent jobs for young Africans starting in Rwanda and the East African region. Kepler is building a global model of accessible and excellent higher education. By innovating the university experience, we graduate distinguished learners and cultivate leaders who transform their lives, their communities, and their countries. Kepler, through a partnership with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), has enrolled more than 1,000 students across our campuses in Kigali, Rwanda, and the Kiziba refugee camp in Western Rwanda with bachelor’s degrees in communications, management and healthcare management. The majority of our students come from vulnerable backgrounds – 50% are women, and more than 25% are refugee learners.
