International Research Institute MICA (Multimedia, Information, Communication & Applications)

The MICA Institute is a Franco-Vietnamese research institute under the supervision of the Hanoi Polytechnic Institute (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, HUST), the CNRS and Grenoble INP.

Sector of activity: Scientific research, technology transfer and high-level training in the fields of information technology and more particularly in the fields of natural language and speech processing, image and video processing, human-system interaction, ambient computing and pervasive environments.

The Institute was created with the aim of accomplishing the following tasks:

- Research and development of new technologies in the fields of information and communication (image and speech processing), multimodal techniques, augmented reality, human-machine interface and communication objects;
- Training of PhD students, Masters of Science in the field of multimedia information processing;
- Development of applied research and technology transfer, creating close links between the academic environment and the socio-economic environment.
