The GISS - Society for Innovative Social Research and Social Planning e.V. wants to contribute to solving social problems through research, practical development and training. Since its founding in 1989, it has carried out research and evaluation projects in a national and international context as an independent, non-profit organization and provides solution- and practice-oriented advice to public and private organizations in project and organizational development processes. The focus of its scientific work is on the fields of social policy, homeless assistance, child, youth and family policy issues, as well as labor market and health policy.

The professional management of social work includes regularly reviewing conceptual principles and organizational structures. We support organizations and institutions in the creation of technical concepts, in the innovation of organizational structures and in the design of work processes. We always focus on the immediate tasks and implement integrated problem solutions. We prefer to organize concept and organizational development processes in the form of project group work in order to achieve broad participation of employees in the goal-oriented change processes.
