Vietnam Water, Sanitation and Environment Joint Stock Company, which has a brief name of VIWASE, is established under Enterprise Law of Vietnam, operating in the field of water supply, drainage, sewerage, sanitation and environment.
Founded in 1954 as a part of Water and Electrical Designing Department, through period of development, expansion and growth, the Company had different names. In 1995, it was renamed as Vietnam Consultant on Water Supply, Sanitation and Environment (VIWASE), and in July 2002 as Vietnam Water, Sanitation and Environment Corporation. In 2006, the company was officially reorganized into joint-stock company. VIWASE has its registered head office at No. 5 Duong Thanh Str., Hanoi, VIWASE office in Ho Chi Minh City and a branch in Danang City. Presently, VIWASE is managing and operating internationally-standardized laboratories serving for activities of research, survey, professional engineering design for water and sanitation environmental sectors.
