About

Currently, in Georgia, there are over 26,000 refugees from Ukraine, 90% of whom are women and children. The general lack of job opportunities and the language barrier have made it challenging for refugees to find employment. Only 23% of adult refugees are employed now.

Research shows that more than 50% of Ukrainian households in Georgia have an income of less than 200 Euros per month.

Choose to Help opened its doors on March 2nd, 2022. Since then, we have been providing Ukrainians who fled the war with basic necessities: food packages, hygiene products, and essential medications. We also conduct educational and cultural events and provide medical consultations to Ukrainian refugees in Tbilisi.

During this time, we have supported over 3,000 families on the regular basis. The vast majority of Choose to Help's beneficiaries are women and children, as well as eldery and individuals with severe illnesses and disabilities.

Our mission is to maintain a decent living standard in Georgia for Ukrainians who have fled the war, to prevent poverty and homelessness, and to achieve equal opportunities for Ukrainian refugees within the Georgian community.
