Turkmenistan Ylymlar Akademiyasy / Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan

The Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan is an institution working to implement a unified scientific and technical policy in Turkmenistan, accelerate the implementation of the latest scientific advances, and develop and consistently and effectively implement state programs for scientific and technological progress.

The main tasks of the Academy of Sciences are:

— ensuring the implementation of the state's scientific and technological policy;

— forecast the development of science, engineering and technology and determine priority areas for their development;

— increasing the effectiveness of scientific research, achieving the implementation of scientific achievements in industry, and coordinating scientific and technical programs;

— to organize and conduct fundamental and practically significant scientific, experimental, design and technological research, and to find ways to finance them, in order to meet the needs of various sectors of the economy;

— training high-level specialists;

— developing international cooperation in science and technology.
