Albsig sh.a. was established in 2004 as an insurance company based in Albania. ALBSIG is a joint stock company, registered under the Albanian Law No. 7638, dated 19 November 1992 "On Business Organizations" and registered in the Commercial Register of Albania by a decision of the District Court of Tirana no. 28154, dated 9 January 2004.

The Company operates under a license issued by the Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA), previously known as the Insurance Supervisory Authority ("AMS"), for the trading of general insurance policies under the FAS rules in the territory of Albania. The authorization to undertake non-life insurance activities was taken on 19 June 2004, while the license specifying the classes of activities was issued on 10 September 2004 by AMS.

The company offers a wide range of products such as: life insurance from accidents, fire insurance and additional risks for large, small and medium-sized enterprises and Vehicle Insurance for individual and individual customers throughout Albania. ALBSIG serves its customers through a consolidated sales network with 22 branches spread throughout Albania and with more than 280 employees. Albsig cooperates with more than 400 agencies operating throughout the Albanian territory.
