JustPeace constitutes an alternative to the predominant forms of international cooperation.

Our team strives to bridge power gaps between our members by cooperating as equals ensuring that those most affected by conflict are heard and empowered.

We work to improve the lives of people through innovative project design, driven by local organisations and experts based on the needs identified by them. We appreciate and apply different forms of resolving conflict and organising societies.

While we are mainly funded by institutions in the Global North, we insist on our independence and impartiality. Both principles enhance our interdisciplinary approach, and enable us to effectively support local actors’ efforts to strengthen peace, justice, and human security. We are grateful to both public and private donors for their trust and support for this crucial work.
