Introduction of the European Cultural Centre Nigeria (ECC Nigeria)

The European Cultural Centre Nigeria (ECC Nigeria) is a non-profit, independent cultural institution established to promote cultural exchange, education, and inclusive development between Nigeria, Africa, and Europe. Rooted in the diverse and rich heritage of Indigenous Nigerian communities, ECC Nigeria is dedicated to fostering mutual understanding through the arts, culture, dialogue, and social initiatives.

Registered and operating under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, ECC Nigeria was founded as part of a collaborative vision with the global network of the European Cultural Centre. However, it functions autonomously, with a mission tailored to the unique cultural, social, and historical context of Nigeria and the African continent.

ECC Nigeria places a strong emphasis on grassroots inclusion, with a focus on engaging Indigenous communities, persons with disabilities, youth, artists, educators, and cultural leaders. The Centre serves as a platform for cultural diplomacy, innovation, and cooperation across borders, while highlighting the voices, traditions, and values of Africa on the global stage.

Through exhibitions, conferences, workshops, and community-based programs, ECC Nigeria is committed to advancing cultural diversity, human rights, accessibility, and sustainable development.
