Movement Foundation

Set up in 2002, the Movement Foundation (‘Bewegungsstiftung’ in German) supports social movements with grants and consulting services. Whether demonstrations for climate protection, protests for a right to stay or actions for fairer taxes – the Foundation supports in places where people fight for their rights, go to the streets and stand up for a more equitable world. Besides providing financial means for long-term campaigns, the Foundation also strengthens protest movements as a strategic partner by building networks, coaching and counselling. Each year, the Foundation can dispose of €300,000 annual funding volume. Campaign grants range up to €15,000, for the Start-up Programme up to €10,000 and Institutional Funding up to €100,000.
