Al-Wafaa Women's Association, which began operating in central and southern Iraq in 2012, works to empower women and enhance their capabilities in various sectors, while providing equal opportunities and ensuring equality in life. We also seek to support the most vulnerable groups, including:

Our vision is to create a society with low levels of violence that guarantees women their human rights and supports their active participation in community building and fostering social peace.

We are one of the civil society institutions established in 2012 and obtained the registration certificate number (801) on 10/7/2012. It is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit association. All of its members work on a voluntary humanitarian basis. We have taken it upon ourselves to defend women’s rights, protect them and try to secure their needs and requirements that keep pace with the times. We seek to secure social, health, psychological, educational and legal care for women through channels of assistance, cooperation and coordination with specialized institutions and with the support and assistance of local, regional and international humanitarian organizations. We work to raise the cultural level and develop skills and talents among women by providing basic services that care for this aspect and helping women with special needs, widows and divorcees.
