About

Youth Empowerment Foundation (YEF) is a youth-led national non-governmental organization (NGO) in South Sudan. It was founded in 2018 by a group of professional South Sudanese volunteers who are dedicated to making a difference. YEF is a private, voluntary, non-political, and non-profit organization. It is legally registered in South Sudan under registration number 3,507.

Our Mission

YEF is committed to creating a just and dignified life for all. We are dedicated to saving lives and alleviating suffering through our various activities. These include advocating for the rights of the deprived, promoting food security and livelihoods, addressing gender-based violence, improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), enhancing health and nutrition, supporting education, and protecting children.

Our Operations

YEF operates across several regions in South Sudan, including Eastern, Central, and Western Equatoria, Jonglei State, Lakes State, and Western Bahr El Ghazal. We work closely with established organizations, government bodies, county departments, and private sector actors to implement our programs effectively.
