Our vision
Promote the self-sufficiency of rural communities in the developing world as a key factor in the ensuring future of children and the dignity of adults.
Our mission
Promote the self-sufficiency of rural communities in the global south through projects in the field of:
the FOOD : soil study and re-fertilization projects, water harvesting and conservation, natural/sustainable agriculture, food preservation, training on developed methodologies;
ENVIRONMENTAL / HEALTH : training on hygiene and the environment, prevention of endemic and poverty-related diseases, support for access to medical facilities (promote contact with hospitals/health centers for periodic visits, promote good infrastructure/maintenance of communication routes), re-evaluation rediscovering andy of traditional/natural medicine;
’s ENERGY : projects for self-production and sharing of energy and optimization of resource use.
Securing children's futures through projects in the field:
EDUCATION : enable access to education (quality schools and pre- and post-school support);
RECEPTION IN FAMILY HOMES/HOSTELS for minors in difficult conditions;
Promoting the dignity of adults through projects in the field of:
SOCIAL INCLUSION : promoting, wanting, an employment, information, and support, a better and fuller participation of individuals in the social, institutional, and economic context in live.
Forgotten Brothers operates in India, Nepal, Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Haiti.
Fratelli Dimenticati addresses the needs of the communities in it operations through local contact organizations. It also develops projects in collaboration with other non-profit organizations, religious institutions, and civil society organizations, providing co-financing and maintaining direct oversight of the activity developed and informing supporters of their progress.
Fratelli Dimenticati promotes supporter participation through events, testimonials, and trips scheduled to visit projects.
Other activity supporting the Mission includes: training employees, collaborators, volunteers and volunteers on the issues and meaning of self-sufficiency; dissemination/awareness-raising throughout Italy over self-sufficiency, the importance of education, training, and closely the these are related to individual self-determination; and global citizenship education.
The projects promoted by our organization and dedicated to children have always deserved special attention and reflect our Mission.
