Who we are

Founded in 1919, the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB) is an associative entity that represents the field. We have been working for almost a hundred years in the formulation of public policies and initiatives aimed at the development of agriculture and livestock.

Rural was formed by rural producers committed to the constant modernization of the sector. In the XXI century, adapted to the changes of the productive chain, it remained as the main space for the intermediation of the interests of its associates. Our mission is to resolve conflicts and generate consensus so that agriculture continues to be increasingly efficient, competitive and sustainable.

In the political sphere, the institution maintains a propositive agenda and acts with the defense of demands of the productive base. It stands out for the tradition of direct and daily contact with the producers, seeking to guarantee the continuous technological advance and the awareness of the challenges that present themselves in the development of the rural activity.
